The Biltmore Enters the Tech Square Fold!
Big news, Tech Square community! The historic Biltmore on West Peachtree Street is officially joining the TSQ fold, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome this iconic Atlanta landmark into our neighborhood of innovation, collaboration, and big ideas.
Since 2016, the Biltmore has been owned by the Georgia Tech Foundation (GTF), making it a part of Atlanta’s history. But this isn’t just another office building or co-working space; this is an intentional transformation. The Biltmore is becoming a powerhouse for tech-driven innovation, academic integration, and entrepreneurial growth.

Why Now?
This next chapter isn’t happening by chance. Georgia Tech’s bold vision is to build a national hub for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship—not just in Atlanta but globally. The Biltmore will increasingly become the home for this vision. Situated in the heart of Tech Square, on Georgia Tech’s campus, it is surrounded by the university’s $1.45 billion in annual research activity, the #4 ranked engineering school in the nation, and the second most innovative school in the U.S. This proximity ensures that startups and innovators have direct access to world-class faculty, researchers, and labs, strengthening the pipeline from idea to commercialization.
"The reason to be in Tech Square is to be around all this talent, technology, and innovation." — Josh Tullis, Senior Director of Corporate Engagement, Georgia Tech
While Georgia Tech is the foundation, Tech Square’s reach extends beyond—home to Emory, Georgia State, Morehouse, Spelman, SCAD, and other top institutions, creating an unparalleled interdisciplinary collaboration and talent environment.
A Hub Like No Other
The Biltmore is set to host a dynamic mix of programs and resources to drive the next wave of innovation, including:
Academic Integration - New entrepreneurial pathways, including minor and graduate programs.
A Deep Tech Venture Studio - Accelerating startups built on groundbreaking research.
Research Commercialization Programs - Translating innovation into thriving businesses.
A National Security Innovation Program - Leveraging Georgia Tech’s #2 national Department of Defense research ranking to develop dual-use technologies.
Industry Partnerships - Co-locating talent, startups, and prominent industry leaders to drive collaboration and commercialization.
Investment Powerhouse - Hosting venture capital firms, including Georgia Tech’s new Georgia Startup Foundation, to connect innovators with funding and growth opportunities.
When the Biltmore first opened in 1924, it welcomed visionaries who shaped the economic future of Atlanta and the Southeast. Now, 100 years later, it is again becoming the meeting ground for entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors ready to shape what comes next.
From coworking spaces to accelerator programs, from deep-tech startups to industry-shaping ventures, the Biltmore will amplify Tech Square's energy in ways never seen before in this city. This is where tech meets tradition, where research fuels startups, and where ideas become impact.
We’ll share more updates as this transformation unfolds, but for now, let’s celebrate this exciting moment for our community. Join us for weekly coffee connections, Atlanta Tech Week, and other events at the Biltmore because the best ideas start with great conversations.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Biltmore!
